Community Garden 2025

Kostinkallio in Kontula will be cultivated again in the summer of 2025.
The activities are supported by the City of Helsinki and Blokgarden gardeners.
The aim of the plantation is to provide an easy place to fulfill yourself if you have a green thumb and to increase community spirit in Kontula through gardening.
There are a total of 30 cultivation boxes and they will be renovated and the soil renewed on May 18th. We hope you will join us for the volunteer work ;)
This year, the boxes will be divided equally among those who registered, depending on the number. It is possible to receive last year's box/boxes if you come to the May volunteer event to renovate them.
The joint planting day is Thursday, June 5th, when we will bring in seedlings again and start the summer.
Watering shifts will be divided at that time and everyone must commit to watering 4-5 times during the summer, when all the boxes will be watered.
Kostinkallio Community garden is located on the rocks behind Kontula Library.

Wednesday gardening
In the summer, every Wednesday from 3-5 pm we garden together. During the summer, we expand the plantation with pots and additional boxes. More cucumbers, more lettuce, more everything!
