The gardens are made with Blokgarden boxes, around which a cozy setup is built. Each participant receives their own cultivation box and you can also bring your own pots, dishes and potato buckets to the area. The garden also has shared boxes for growing lettuce and herbs.

COME AND LEARN HOW TO GROW YOUR OWN FOOD

The garden grows food plants and the all activities are supported by our gardener, who helps and guides throughout the summer season. During the summer, we organize workshops where you learn how to care for and use crops. Our gardeners are there once a week to help the farmers and take care of the garden.

GROW WHAT YOU WANT

The season starts at the beginning of June with a joint planting and opening ceremony. We bring ready seedlings to be used on the planting day: different tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, chilies, peppers, Swiss chard, lettuce, herbs, spinach, peas and beans. Of course, you can also plant your own seedlings or sow seeds.

YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN PLANTS AND 2 WATERING ROWS

You don't need to have previous experience or knowledge of growing food, an open mind and interest are enough this.  You are responsible for the care of your own plants, which requires visiting the garden every 1-2 weeks.

Of course, the plants need watering more often (1-3 times a week), but we do watering in shifts together. During the watering shift, two people water the entire crop at once. Every person needs to commit to doing 2 watering shifts during the summer and it takes approx. an hour / time.

MEET NEW PEOPLE

Gardening is a fun family friendly activity and you can meet like-minded people at the community garden. The community is supported by a whatsapp group for information and questions. You can get help from the community or our gardeners.

HARVESTING

During the summer, you are free to harvest your own plants and communal salads and herbs. The growing season ends with the harvest festival in September, when the entire final harvest is gathered and the season is celebrated with a joint dinner.
